Rapid Brain Tumor Classification From Sparse Epigenomic Data
About the Speaker
Helene Kretzmer is a leading expert in computational genomics. Since October 2024, she has held a W2 professorship and chair at the Hasso Plattner Institute, University of Potsdam. She also leads a bioinformatics research group at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPIMG) since 2022. Her scientific focus lies in genomic regulation and computational analysis of sequencing data, particularly in cancer genomics. She completed her PhD in Informatics in 2016 at the University of Greifswald, specializing in DNA methylation analysis.
