BeCAT and Si-M: two new Berlin-based research facilities advancing personalized medicine

On April, 22th, the BeCAT and Si-M were inaugurated in Berlin—two important beacons for our region. What they share is the goal of developing effective personalized therapies for diseases that have so far been considered incurable.

While Si‑M (Der Simulierte Mensch) focuses on recreating human biology and thus on gaining a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms, BeCAT (Berlin Center for Advanced Therapies) next door researches, develops and manufactures innovative cell-based medicinal products using its state-of-the-art GMP facility. These two biomedical research facilities at our location have both national and international impact.

We are delighted that this marks the creation of two outstanding new places for joint excellence research from Berlin for the world.

We were very pleased to accompany both initiatives and wish everyone involved great success and drive for the time ahead. We look forward to new fruitful research and development activities and to continued collaboration!
