We will have a web seminar version of the Future2Go lecture. After registration you will get the link for joining.
How do you move to the industry, when they often ask for industrial experience? Bjoern Oest Hansen works as a data scientist at KWS and runs a small bioinformatics startup. He will take us along on his journey from being a student in molecular biology, across startup and union work, to working with big data and machine learning in the farming industry.
Future2Go is an informal lecture series on career paths presented by alumni from various institutes at the Potsdam Science Park. Students, PhDs and PostDocs can learn about alternatives to an academic research career: How do you apply for and obtain a patent? How do you found a new company? This time we have Bjoern as Alumnus of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology as a guest speaker.
