Welcome back to your Forum in 2019
Are you a researcher, clinician, health care professional, designer, developer, engineer, regulatory expert, corporate innovator, entrepreneur, investor or mentor working in digital health, or generally interested in this topic?
You are cordially invited to the upcoming BIH Digital Health Forum – an event series to connect everyone working in digital health to stimulate our innovation ecosystem in Berlin and beyond.
This format offers:
- Talks/panel discussions on the latest digital technologies and their application to healthcare
- Open mics for everyone to present a pain point, idea, project or solution to seek support.
The event series is organized by Berlin Health Innovations and partners. This time, we are happy to present:

*Learn more about some of our panelists:
Prof. Dr. med Sylvia Thun (Head, BIH Core Unit EHealth, and Interoperability): In the core unit develops strategies and concepts for the fast, secure and reliable usage of medical data across different systems. In cooperation with hospitals, research institutions, industry and politics, we develop interoperability solutions using international IT standards and nomenclatures (such as HL7 FHIR and IDMP). Our vision is an interconnected digital health infrastructure that enables new technologies to predict disease more accurately, develop better, personalized treatments, promote active patient participation and ensure high data security.
Dr. Daniel Sonntag: (German Center for AI, DFKI): His research interests include intelligent user interfaces, natural language processing, information retrieval, and mining, dialogue systems, common-sense modeling, and semantic (explainable)machine learning methods for cognitive computing and improved usability. This includes multimodal multisensor interfaces for medical and health systems in particular, common-sense and (interactive) machine learning methods for human-computer interfaces, knowledge discovery, information extraction, and cognitive modeling with ontologies.
