Labor Berlin among Germany’s innovation champions for the fourth time

Labor Berlin was able to build on the innovative success of the top 100 German medium-sized companies in 2025 for the fourth time in a row.

 

Since 2011, WirtschaftsWoche has been publishing the exclusive ranking, which analyzes the innovative strength of 4,000 medium-sized companies.

The study by the independent company Munich Strategy examines which companies in the German SME sector are the most innovative. To this end, the innovative strength and economic performance of more than 4,000 SMEs were analyzed in a multi-stage analysis process. Munich Strategy calculated an innovation score for a shortlist of 400 companies. This score assesses innovative strength based on three criteria groups: innovation vitality, innovation perception, and R&D & tech power. Europe’s largest hospital laboratory achieved an innovation score of 197.3 in 2025.
