GeneNovate® 2027 – Call for Applications until 13.11.2026

GeneNovate® is a nationwide, free-of-charge entrepreneurship program for students, PhD candidates, postdocs, researchers, and physicians interested in developing innovative ideas in gene and cell therapies, biotechnology, and life sciences into potential business ventures. No prior entrepreneurship experience is required.

 

What does GeneNovate® offer?

From December 2026 to June 2027, participants will benefit from hands-on workshops, online sessions, continuous mentoring, and valuable networking opportunities within the startup and biotech ecosystem. Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants will develop their ideas into startup pitches.

Key Dates for the Berlin Region:

  • Kick-off: December 9, 2026
  • Online Sessions: January 8, February 1, March 1, April 1, May 3, and June 3, 2027
  • In-person Workshops in Berlin: January 27, February 17, March 24, April 14, May 12, and June 9, 2027
  • Regional Preselection: June 4, 2027
  • Final Event in Heidelberg: June 23, 2027

Application Deadline: November 13, 2026

Participation is free of charge, and the entire program is conducted in English.
