Fifteen Charité researchers among the top influencers in science
Fifteen researchers from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin are among the world’s most influential researchers in 2025. That is the result of an analysis by Clarivate, published today in the form of the Highly Cited Researchers list. The list identifies researchers who have had a significant and broad influence in their fields and who contribute disproportionately to extending the frontiers of knowledge.
How often a researcher’s scientific or academic work is cited by colleagues in the field is viewed as a measure of that person’s influence on their discipline. This year’s list of the researchers most frequently cited internationally comprises 6.868 people from 61 countries and regions, 363 of them from Germany.
The researchers on the list have authored multiple publications over the past eleven years that rank in the top one percent in their field(s) by number of citations. The analysis covers 21 disciplines across the fields of medicine, physical and life sciences, economics and business, and social sciences.
