On October 9–10, 2025, Berlin Quantum and a European research consortium will host Q-SHIFT 2040. The event will bring together leading voices from quantum science, AI, ethics, law, and industry to explore how the fusion of quantum computing and artificial intelligence is redefining technological capability and responsibility — and how Europe can shape a value-driven, sovereign innovation ecosystem.

With the theme "Quantum-AI Between Promise, Power, and Precaution – Redrawing the Lines of the Possible", Q-SHIFT 2040 will address frontiers in technology, societal impact, and regulation, featuring confirmed speakers such as Jens Eisert, Feiyu Xu, Michael Hartmann, Miriam Meckel, Léa Steinacker, Philipp Hacker, and Valentin Jeutner.

A public evening debate on October 9 will invite citizens, policymakers, and media to join the conversation at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Paul-Ehrlich Lecture Hall, Virchowweg 4, 10117 Berlin) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

If you would like to participate in the conference, please pre-register here. More details will be shared after pre-registration by email. A registration form for only the public event will follow soon.
