Across Germany, financial insecurity has become part of everyday life. 52% of people experience financial worries at least once a week, and for 50% it is their biggest personal concern. Despite this, only 20% of Germans invest in the capital market—and among them, women represent just 38%.

Meanwhile, an astonishing €3.4 trillion sits in bank accounts, where much of it loses value over time due to inflation and low interest rates. This creates long‑term financial risks, particularly for women who already face structural disadvantages such as lower lifetime earnings, career interruptions, and a significantly wider pension gap.

This is why our next LeadHERship session focuses on Women’s Financial Wellbeing—empowering women in leadership to gain clarity, confidence, and control over their financial futures.
