ATMP Symposium 2026: Experts from Regulatory Authorities, Research and Industry Discuss Manufacturing and Translation of Advanced Cell and Gene Therapies

On 2 December 2026, bbb Biotechnologieverbund Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., together with the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI), ZLG (Central Authority of the Länder for Health Protection with regard to Medicinal Products and Medical Devices), the German Stem Cell Network (GSCN), the HealthCapital Cluster, and Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, will host the annual ATMP Symposium “The Product is the Process – Is it?” at the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB) in Potsdam.

Since 2013, the symposium has brought together representatives from science and research, industry, and regulatory institutions to discuss current developments in the field of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), such as gene therapies and tissue- and cell-based products. The focus is on the manufacturing and translation of these innovative therapeutic approaches—from regulatory requirements and technical solutions to practical experiences from industry and clinical practice.

Confirmed speakers include representatives from the University of Copenhagen, Sartorius, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Boehringer Ingelheim, and the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut. Topics will range from pluripotent stem cell products in clinical applications and the development of cell therapy platforms to genomic integrity considerations in cell and gene therapy.

The event is aimed at professionals from research, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and industry. The conference language is English.
