The German capital region is one of the most attractive life sciences and healthcare locations in Europe and a stronghold of the IT industry. At conhIT – Europe's most important industry event for healthcare IT – the capital region uses its home-court advantage to present innovative healthcare IT solutions, expert dialogues and networking between companies, investors and creatives, both at the Berlin-Brandenburg joint booth in Hall 3.2 (D 104) as well as through a variety of other activities. Excursions to stakeholders and workshops on innovative technology are also part of the program.

Workshop on UX Design / Usability

Organiser: Cluster IKT Berlin-Brandenburg

UX Design, the positive user experience of products and applications, is getting more and more in the spotlight. Products, especially IT-based solutions, are more successful if they consistently align their design to users' needs. A process-oriented design leads to a pragmatic quality, which makes the use in the professional environment more effective and efficient and unambiguous operating options help to avoid mistakes. An aesthetically pleasing design in turn motivates users to adopt new tools and to use them continuously. Both qualities taken together lead to a good user experience and thus to more successful products. The interactive workshop is intended to connect UX Designers with producers and users of health IT. It is organized by the ICT Cluster Berlin Brandenburg within the innovation field "Design & Usability".

Hospital excursion to the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin

With almost 660,000 outpatient and around 140,000 inpatient cases a year, the Charité treats more patients than any other German university hospital and thus has a valuable wealth of experience. Each day, around 3,700 scientists and researchers in more than 1,000 projects, working groups and cooperative projects work to advance forward-looking developments in the field of medicine to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

During the excursion, we will introduce you to a project of the Charité and put you in direct contact with doctors and scientists of this extraordinary clinic.

The second conhIT speed networking event "Startup meets Corporate" offers established health IT companies and digital health startups the opportunity to get to know each other in an easy way. The speed networking event is an opportunity to learn more about cooperation opportunities and make contacts with other industry participants.

The five-minute talks intend to pave the way for a first contact. The speed networking does not follow a fixed schedule or programme, every participant chooses his or her partner on the spot.

The speed networking is organised by Health 2.0 Berlin, bvitg e.V. and the Berlin-Brandenburg life science industry cluster HealthCapital. Please register online by April 11th.
