Free service for medical AI researchers:

The Hippo AI Foundation is proud to announce the launch of, a free service designed to give time back to medical AI researchers. is a one of its kind tool that allows researchers to extract datasets, obtain summarization and ask questions with just the touch of a button, making it easier than ever before to develop artificial intelligence that can be used to improve healthcare outcomes.

"This is only the beginning, we're planning on evolving Ask Paper into an intuitive and vast data discovery platform" said Alex Ramalho, research lead in the foundation. "We're planning on leveraging latest AI technology to structure and make medical data accessible to the community, something that until now has been not achieved"

The service was co-created with the Hippo AI community and is a first step towards building a platform that empowers people to build open-sourced medical artificial intelligence. "We're excited to see what our community will do with," said Bart de Witte, Founder of the Hippo AI Foundation. "By unveiling researchers with vast amounts of data that are hidden in these papers and the ability to ask complex questions, we hope to accelerate progress towards better access to care for everyone."

To use, users need to join our community server. This server is set up to unite researchers and build an open-source platform that anyone can use. By coming together in this way, researchers can work collaboratively and exchange insights and exchange knowledge, ultimately leading to more rapid advancements in medical AI.

Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Hann, University Hospital Wurzburg "As a researcher, a significant amount of time is spent on reading and analyzing data. This tasks can be a time-consuming process, especially when trying to extract specific insights or identifying embedded information that leads to open data sets in the case of AI development. AskPaper by Hippo AI is a remarkable service that enables us to streamline our work, allowing us to save time and accelerate our research efforts."

"We believe that everyone should have access to the latest advances in medical AI, regardless of their resources or location," said Bart de Witte. "That's why we're committed to building an open-sourced platform with high ethical standards and transparency that anyone can use. We're confident that is just the first step towards achieving this goal."
