Berlin-Brandenburg is Shaping the Future of Health

The past five years have contributed to intensive networking within the Healthcare Industry Cluster Berlin-Brandenburg. This has created the prerequisites for interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and agile work on future topics and solutions for complex challenges in health care in the coming years.

 

The Master Plan Health Region Berlin-Brandenburg is the strategic core document of the joint work of the players from science, business and health care as well as politics, administrations, associations and chambers. The strategic guidelines and goals set out in the Master Plan are an expression of the cluster's vision and purpose, which is shared by all health care players. They form the basis for the further successful development of Berlin-Brandenburg into an up-and-coming metropolitan region for the health care industry. 

The further development of the master plan, which has now been ratified, builds on the successful work in the cluster and expands on it, especially with the experience of the pandemic, by transferring it to more agile work and project structures.  

Thematically, it focuses on translational research, precision medicine and digital solutions. The latter are leading medicine into a new age by bringing together biology, engineering, medicine and computer science. AI-supported analyses of Big Data, virtual models, predictive analyses, pattern recognition for the development of targeted diagnoses and therapies are pushing the boundaries of medicine.
