At conhIT – Europe's most important industry event for healthcare IT – in Berlin, the capital region uses its home-court advantage to present innovative healthcare IT solutions, expert dialogues and networking between companies, investors and creatives both at the Berlin-Brandenburg joint booth in Hall 3.2 (D 104) as well as through a variety of other activities. Daily excursions to stakeholders and e-health technology users in the capital region are also part of the program.

Those who require imaging diagnostics will no longer need their own equipment, and can instead access the modern infrastructure and services of medneo on a “pay-per-use model”. Highly qualified medneo personnel carry out imaging of patients on behalf of the patient’s medical service provider as doctors, medical centres and hospitals. Good communication between the patient and his treating physician is a particularly important factor in the course of a successful therapy. In reality, time is a very scare resource for the practicing physician, making a personalised and time-sensitive therapy difficult. The goal of Medical All-round Care Service Solutions (MACSS) is to develop the prototype of a novel patient-centered SmartHealth service platform in collaboration with science, business, health insurances, service providers, patient associations and the pharmaceutical industry. MACSS will improve both the communication between patients and physicians, as well as the communication between physician.

As a part of the initiative “Health Excellence” (Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and visitBerlin) the competition “getIT HealthTourisim” promotes digital concepts which help foreign patients to feel more comfortable during their stay and position the capital region more strongly as a center of health. The state secretary Rickerts (Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises) and the jury will present the awards at the conhIT.
